Using Your iPhone

484 Kinas St.We’ve already touched briefly on iPhone’s growing technical specifications and how they have turned the iPhone into an increasingly more powerful machine. However we haven’t really told you yet all on the wonderful things you can take advantage of with this device. Apple was already a well-known company, having created the MacBook and iMac, and iPod; now they have newer devices such as the iPad and iPhone. They are notorious (in a good way!) for making their software take full advantage of and integrate seemlessly with their hardware. What this means to you in the end is that the iPhone 4 runs incredibly smoothly. Apple Inc. has therefor once again maintained its reputation established by software such as Final Cut Pro, iTunes, iLife, or even the Mac OS operating system itself. Of course, these set standard so high that Apple could hardly afford to disappoint. The iPhone is essentially the same device as Apple’s iPod touch, except this has the capabilities of a phone as well. Both have multi-touch interfaces, web browsing, multimedia control, and more. They run most of the same apps and have the same screens, which are incredibly vibrant 3.5″ IPS displays. Even though these are smaller than some phones’ displays, their color saturation and brightness more than make up for that fact, and the super-sensitive touch screen allows the on-screen keyboard to function accurately and admirably. The iPhone is Apple’s most famous and popular product and is being used by professionals in many fields. It’s clearly helpful to have the calendar, calculator, and organizational functions, but beyond that apps specific to industries have become extremely useful and popular. The clean, clear display makes this phone great for reading ebooks, magazines, and newspapers. The screen is bright and clean enough to be easily read by the elderly. Students might find the iPhone great for research on the go. Cooks and chefs might enjoys sharing and finding recipes on this device. That’s only the tip of the iceberg, too: there are 10,000 of thousands of apps for the iPhone so everyone can find uses. iPhone Models

The iPhone has been tried and true for almost 5 years now, since the first model’s release in June of 2007. Since then, there have been four equally revolutionary updates to this already amazing piece of technology. Here’s some quick info about the older iPhone models:

iPhone

This was the one that started it all! Available in 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB versions, the iPhone revolutionized how people thought of smart phones. It even included a 2 Megapixel camera.

iPhone 3G

As if the original wasn’t already great enough for the time, just over a year later in July 2008, the 3G version was released. In addition to adding the capabilities of communication with a much faster 3G network, it sported a brand new look and assisted GPS.

iPhone 3GS

While the overall look of the iPhone remained the same in this generation, the performance was boosted over the previous models in several ways. First, the processor speed was much faster. The graphics were improved and the memory was increased as well. The camera was increased to 3 Megapixels, now supporting video, and a 32GB version became available.

Here’s some more info on the most recent models of iPhone: the ones that you are probably interested in getting for free:

iPhone 4

This was perhaps the most noticeable overhaul of the iPhone; the entire look of the phone was changed. While the size remained similar, the rounded edges were traded for classier, flat, rounded edges. The biggest thing that people saw with this phone, though, was its gorgeous new screen. Having 4 times the resolution of previous models, Apple dubbed the screen it’s first “retina display.” In addition, the CPU, graphics, and memory were once again increased, as well as a camera update to 5 Megapixels.

iPhone 4S

Finally we get to the newest iPhone currently available. Again, the look of the iPhone 4S retained the look of its predecessor, focusing on boosting its insides instead. This is the first iPhone to have a dual-core processor, and the graphics chip was updated again. Between the two of these, Apple had invented a powerful new way of delivering mobile gaming. The camera has now reachead a phenominal 8 Megapixels and supports full 1080p video. Now there is also an amazing 64GB version available as well.

That’s just a quick run-down of the models of iPhone that have been released, but as you can see, this technology is amazing, it’s been getting better, and it has reached a pinnacle with the iPhone 4S.
